Why am I having SideSync 3.0 connection problems?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Samsung Series 9 laptop. I have installed SideSync 3.0 and downloaded SideSync software for the PC from Samsung's website. However, the connection does not go through; rather I get a message on my Samsung Galaxy S5 saying, "This connection has timed out."

A Samsung SideSync timeout error may be indicative of a malfunctioning piece of software. There is a chance that something in the SideSync software on one of your devices is malfunctioning. To fix this issue, uninstall and then reinstall the software on both your Samsung Series 9 laptop and your Samsung Galaxy S5. SideSync 3.0 on my laptop says that I don't have the apk on Galaxy, but the app is opened in both of them?

Hi,, how are you? I'm from Brazil, but I travel to USA every year. In one of those visits I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active from AT&T, and my notebook is an ATIV 6. When I try to connect, the laptop recognizes the Galaxy but says that my cellphone doesn't have the apk. I already uninstalled the apk from both laptop and Galaxy and did all I can imagine, but it is still giving me a message that I don't have the app. If you could help me, I would really appreciate that. Why won't my screen work in SideSync?

My SideSync 3.0 on my Galaxy Tab S will connect with my Galaxy S5 but all I have the functionality of, is the virtual buttons. I can not use the screen or open apps.

I don't have your answer, but I have the exact same issue. T-Mobile S5 and Tab S 10.5. At least I finally know I am not the only one.

Update to above: I resolved this by getting the June 17th update installed. See if there's an update available for your phone.

Initial start-up issue. Unknown error when I try to start it for the first time?

Unable to sync my Samsung S3 to my computer?

I have removed my SIM card and restarted the phone several times and have used different cables. I am able to assess and sync at work but not with laptop just this month.

SideSync - No connection via USB - WLAN works though?

I'm trying to connect SideSync on my PC with my S5. The program runs on both sides. Connection via WLAN works, but with USB the PC does not detect the phone. USB debugging is turning on the S5.

SideSync is not working on WiFi desktop PC?

Hi I installed SideSync on both my Note4 and desktop computer. When I try to connect it with WiFi it is not working, my Galaxy Note4 keeps scanning for devices and then a message appears (This connection has timed out)

Try to connect it via USB, if it does not work either, then the needed drivers for your Note4 are not yet installed in your PC. Simply download and install Kies3 from Here. Then reboot and connect your Note4 via USB, it will get recognized and connected via Kies. Once there, try the SideSync once again over USB first, if it is done, switch to WiFi, but remember both should be on the same WiFi network.

I use an application on my phone called Signal?

After a recent security update the messenger application no longer shows up on the "SideSync" phone screen. The screen goes blank. I cannot find a setting that has been able to resolve the issue. All other applications (that I've tried) still work. But Signal just shows a blank screen. Any suggestions?>. I have tried: Turned off debugging, deleted USB authorizations, turned on USB debugging again.. I think it was caused by: December security update pushed out by T-Mobile to Samsung Note5.

I am having issues with SideSync on my Note5 and Mac bookpro?

I have the latest versions of SideSync on both devices. The connection will constantly be dropped. SideSync will also quit on my computer. I have tried using a USB cable but the same thing keeps happening. I suspect that the issue is with my WiFi? I am current using my university's WiFi and I cannot torrent on this connection because the IP address is constantly changing or something like that?. I have tried: Updating the software (it was up to date) and using a wired connection (it still continued to try and use the WiFi connection) I really don't want to have to use the wired connection though. It seems borderline pointless to me.. I think it was caused by: WiFi possibly?

How can I troubleshoot connecting problems I am having with my ATIV 9 laptop and Galaxy S4. The app works fine via WiFi but never connects via USB. Debugging is ON.

I have the SideSync 3.0 app installed on both my Samsung laptop ATIV 9 and Galaxy S4. The problem occurs when I try to share via USB, the screen on my S4 goes black as per normal, but the phone screen on my laptop just shows the SideSync app trying to connect, nothing ever changes. The app works fine through WiFi but will not connect via USB

This has to be an issue with your drivers, Try downloading the latest version of KIES3 [1], install it, and let the drivers get installed, connect your mobile once instructed to by the installation program. When done, reboot your Laptop. Connect your mobile, and check if your issue is solved.
