    We have to reveal a map and see the location of a photo. To do so, choose any photo by pressing it.

    Now, pinch the photo with two fingers, as if you are using a map, and bring the screen inwards to create a circle.

    As you can see, a map has appeared, and the image has shrunk to a circle.

    We can scroll through them and see where they have been taken. They were taken in the same place. This phone has not travelled too much.

    If you want to get out of this map, you just need to do the opposite of swiping inwards with two fingers.
    We are going to swipe out. Press down on the screen and swipe back out.

Location services may need to be enabled before taking pictures. We have a tutorial explaining how to do that. It is important that camera should also have access to the location services ("settings" > "privacy" > "location"; see if Camera can access the location services).

If the location services were definitely enabled, then, alternatively, you can install GeoPhoto, enable cellular data or WiFi, and try to take pictures with the location services enabled after that. You can also change the location data of your photos with that tool.

Using large-resolution (35 - 38 megapixel) pictures can bug the location services for them too. Either use smaller resolution or update your Lumia to Windows 10 and then with updates. Others reporting the bug getting fixed after both updating and factory-resetting the phone.

So, check if your pictures do have location data with GeoPhoto or Photo Location Viewer and edit them, if necessary. If after that your location cannot be detected, then either the pictures were taken indoors or there is a problem with the GPS sensor in the phone.
