You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to demonstrate how to show keystrokes in ScreenFlow for the Mac.
To begin, make sure you have clicked the correct timeline.
There can be two videos: a video of yourself and a screencast.
In order to show keystrokes, you'll need to click on the screen-recording clip.
You can tell which video clip is selected by the yellow border.
With the screen-cast clip selected, click the screen-recording menu icon.
This icon is the third icon from the left in the right side panel.
In the "Screen Recording" menu, check the "Show Keystrokes" box.
Once the "Show Keystrokes" feature is turned on, you can check either "Show all keys" or "Show only the modifier keys".
Let's click "Show all keys". This will show all of the keys in the video recording as you type.
You can stop the recording by pressing "shift" + "command" + "2" on the keyboard.
Check "Show only modifier keys".
This will only show "shift" and "command", but the other keys will not show up as you type.
