Share a Post on LinkedIn on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
You're watching VisiHow! This is a tutorial on how to share a post on the LinkedIn application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, we need to unlock the phone, which we can do by pressing the lock button on the side.
Alternatively, we can press the Home button at the bottom.
We enter the passcode or just use the fingerprint scanner.
We need to find and tap the LinkedLn icon to open up the application.
The icon is blue. LinkedLn will automatically take us to the home page, which has a list of articles and also posts that our contacts have made.
We can browse other posts by tapping the icon in the top-left corner.
There, we can tap "Groups" or "Pulse" in the list.
We are going to switch to the home page for now.
We tap the right section of the screen.
We scroll down and find the post in which we are interested.
Under the post, we tap the arrow pointing right.
The icon is between the thumbs-up and the speech-bubble icons. Tapping that arrow will bring up a new window, where we have the option to "Share", "Send to Connections", or "Email Link".
We tap "Share" first.
We can share the post by posting it on our page.
We can type a comment as well.
The text goes into the input box at the top. We type whatever in which we are interested. For example, "Interesting!" can be typed in.
Then, we tap "Share with".
We can tap either "Public" or "Connections", depending on which one is more interesting for us.
Maybe not everything we post we want to be available for all to see.
When we are happy with the selections, we can just press "Share" in the top right-hand corner.
We can then go to our profile by tapping the icon in the top-left corner.
We will see the post shared in the top-left corner.
We tap the section on the right.
We can tap the arrow under a post again.
If we like we can tap "Send to Connections" to share the post by sending it to the connections.
We can type extra information to the "Subject" input box, the message input box, and the "To:" input box.
We tap the plus icon to the right of the "To:" input box.
We scroll down along the "Network" page and tap the check boxes to the right of the connection names.
This will add a connection to the "To:" field. Once we select a name, we will get a check on the right-hand side.
Alternatively, we can tap "Cancel".
We tap "Yes" not to send the message.
In this video, this will avoid spamming people.
We can tap the arrow under the post we would like to share again.
Finally, we tap "Email Link".
LinkedIn will start to compose an email message for us. The email message will be in the same format as any other email message on the iPhone. We'll have a title, a link, and "Sent from LinkedIn for iPhone" in the body of the message. We'll also have the subject.
We tap the "To:" input box to add a recipient or recipients.
We can type the email address.
We tap "Send" to send the message.
That will be sent normally.
We can pull the screen down to refresh the page.
We'll be back to the home page. That is where we started.
This is a VisiHow video on how you can share a post in the LinkedIn application on the iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to add them to the section below. We'll do our best to get back to you. Thank you for watching!
