Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to share your location in a message when using the Skype application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
Once the phone is activated, we'll see the lock screen.
Swipe the lock screen up, and this will take us to the home screen.
On the home screen, we need to find the Skype tile.
It has a blue tile background, and in the middle there is the Skype logo, which is a white circle with a blue letter "S" inside. If the Skype tile has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the Apps menu.
Once the Skype tile has been located, wherever it may be, press down on it to enter the application.
Once in the application, we need to find a contact to whom we can send our location. There are two different ways to do this.
First, we can go to the "recent" section.
It says "recent" at the top in a darker blue text. On this screen, we will find all the people we recently communicated with. We can choose a contact from this screen.
Alternatively, we can swipe across the screen until we arrive at the "people" section.
Now, it says "people" at the top of the screen in a darker blue text. This screen lists all of our Skype contacts. We can choose a contact from this screen.
To choose a contact, press down on the name.
This will open up a personal chat with that person.
To send them our location in a message, we need to press the plus icon at the bottom left corner of the chat window screen.
There is a blue circle with a white plus sign on it. Pressing down on that will bring up a menu of options.
Tap on the second option from the bottom in white text, which says "share location".
The icon to the left is an image of a pin like you might see on a map.
The map program will locate us first.
Then a map will appear with the address of our location at the bottom of the screen.
A blue pointer on the map will show exactly where we are.
In order to send this in a message, we need to press the icon in the far bottom right-hand corner.
It has a white circle with a blue arrow inside pointing to the right.
Now, the area of our message is a light blue color, and it contains the map with our location in it.
It has now been sent to our contact.
This concludes our tutorial on how to share a location in a message when using the Skype application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
