Swype on Galaxy S5 seems impossible to get?

I am having trouble getting Swype on my phone

The Swype feature or option is already on your device and you simply need to activate it so that you can use it on your device as a keyboard. I will be helping you with settings this up on your device. Here are the steps that you are going to need to follow to set up Swype on your phone:

Was this helpful? Yes | No | I need help

-Go to settings

-Go to language and Keyboard

-In here check the Swype keyboard to bring up the green check next to the keyboard

-Go to default

-Select the Swype keyboard to set up the keyboard on your device

After this simply visit any app that uses a keyboard in order to be able to use the keyboard to type on your device.

Try downloading from your app store (Google Play store) and search for Swype (free or paid version). You can also go here to automatically download it to your S5 (as soon as it connects to the internet).

Free:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nuance.swype.trial&hl=ean

Paid:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nuance.swype.dtc

If you are unable to download the app, (no install button or is grayed out) it means that the app is not compatible with your device YET (since it is also a new phone model).

You can also try other keyboard apps such as Swiftkey or GoKeyboard.

Once downloaded, simply open the app and follow the directions given within the app itself.

The Swype option isn't available on the Galaxy S5. how do I get it?

Swype is not bundled with the S5, but is still available to download in the Play Store. Note that it does cost money, and so you might prefer to stick with something like the free Google Keyboard. If you're set on getting Swype, you can find it here.

There are several solutions to this problem. This might have been caused by a third-party application. Your antivirus may even not detect malware.

  • Download and install security software. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware might be a good choice for you. Launch it and run a full system scan.
  • Download and install an antivirus solution like AVG.
  • Uninstall recently installed applications. They are in "Apps" > "Settings" > "Application manager" > "Downloaded". Uninstall any suspicious programs like BaDonk.
  • Wipe cache partition. With your phone turned off, press and hold these following buttons:

power, home, and volume-up buttons. When a logotype shows, release the buttons. In the Recovery Menu, choose "wipe cache partition" by using the volume-down button. Make your choice by pressing the power button. Then, reboot your device by choosing "reboot system now" in the same manner.
