The purpose of Air Gestures for your mobile phone is to complete actions by making specific actions or movements over the sensor, without touching the screen.

This is a step-by-step article on how to enable and use the Air Gestures on your Samsung Galaxy S4 phone.

    On your phone, tap the Menu button then select Settings from the list of options.

Available Air Gesture Features

When you enabled Air Gesture, all of its features will also be turned on. You have the option to enable only selected features by turning on the switch button to the right of each gesture.

What Is Quick Glance and How To Use It

With the screen turned off, this feature allows you to view important status information on your phone without actually touching the screen to turn it on. You can choose to view information like time & date, notification icons, missed calls, unread messages, battery power and current music information.

To Use Quick Glance, follow these procedures:

    With the screen turned off, put your Galaxy S4 on a table, or any flat surface, with the screen face up.

What Is Air Jump and How To Use It

Air Jump allows you to scroll through a web page or your email by moving your hand up or down above the proximity sensor. Take note that most third-party mobile browsers and email applications do not support Air Jump; this gesture only supports the native Internet and Email applications that come pre-installed with your Galaxy S4.

What Is Air Browse and How to Use It

Air Browse allows you to browse through the next or previous items on your phone. It is the air gesture equivalent of tapping on the "Next" or "Previous" button. This gesture is supported by the Gallery, Internet, Music Player and S Memo. Other similar third-party applications do not support Air Browse.

What Is Air Move and How To Use It

Air Move allows you to move an application icon to another screen on the application menu, or move S Planner events to different pages. This is the air gesture equivalent of tap-hold-and-drag gesture. Only the application icons on your default application menu and the S Planner support this feature. All other similar third-party applications do not support Air Move.

What Is Air Call Accept and How To Use It

Air Call Accept allows you to answer incoming calls using Air Gesture. You do not need to tap your phone's screen, or slide any button, you just need to move your hand over the sensor to accept the incoming call.

To use Air Call Accept, follow these steps:

    Enable Air Call Accept.
    You can also opt to enable "Auto Start Speakerphone" by going to Home > Apps > Settings > My Device > Motions and Gestures > Air Gesture > Air Call Accept > Put a check mark on the "Auto Start Speakerphone". This option will automatically switch the call to speaker mode so you can talk and listen to the caller, without touching your device.
