Setup a Nexus 6P

You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to set up the Nexus 6P phone. The button at the bottom of the right side is the volume rocker. The button on the top is your power switch.
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.
The phone will power up now.
To begin with, choose a language by tapping on the language drop-down menu in the center.
The default is "English (United States)".
You can scroll down to select any language from the offered languages.
For this tutorial, let's choose "English (United States)".
Then, tap on the yellow arrow to go to the next screen.
The device will prompt you to insert the SIM card. The SIM card is located on the top left of the device.
You can use the remover tool or the paper clip to take the SIM card out.
Now, place the SIM card into the SIM card tray.
It will fit in. There is a little notch in the lower right-hand corner.
Slide the SIM card into the phone.
Tap on a WiFi network to connect to it.
If needed, enter the password for the WiFi.
Once the password is entered, tap on "CONNECT".
The phone will connect to the WiFi network. This process can take up to two minutes. The phone will ask you if you have another Android device from which you can copy the data.
In this case, tap on "No, thanks".
Now, sign in with your Google account by tapping "Enter your email".
Once you type in your e-mail address, tap on the green arrow button.
Type your Google password.
Tap on the green arrow again.
Then, tap on "ACCEPT" in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Read the "Google services" agreement. Google services will automatically back up the device, the location services will be enabled, location accuracy will be enabled, and sharing information with developers will be enabled.
Tap on "NEXT" again.
You can set up payment information later. Now, the phone will ask you if you want to add another email address.
In this case, let's tap on "Not now".
Tap on "NEXT".
The phone will ask you to set up your fingerprint.
When the window with the "Unlock with fingerprint" notification appears, tap on "NEXT" again.
Choose a back-up method.
For this tutorial, let's tap on "Pattern". Now, you will have the option of requiring a fingerprint when the device is turned on.
You can tap on "No, thanks" and "NEXT".
Create your PIN, password, or pattern.
Confirm your pattern, PIN, or password.
Tap a notification type.
For this tutorial, let's leave "Show all notification content" selected.
Tap on "NEXT".
Now, start setting up the fingerprint. The scanner is located on the back of the device.
Place your finger on the back of the device.
Put your finger on the scanner.
The phone will give you a vibration each time it registers the print until it scans the finger completely.
You can also tap on "ADD ANOTHER" to add another fingerprint.
Once you're satisfied with your settings of the fingerprint, tap on "NEXT".
Now, your phone has been set up. It is ready to be used.
