Edited by Djinu, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to set up two-step verification with Google Authenticator and DreamHost hosting.
First, we log into the Dreamhost account.
Then, we click the "Menu" option.
It is on the left-hand side.
We click "BILLING & ACCOUNT".
We click "Security".
We will see that enabling multifactor authentication will give us 1GB of free storage on Dream Objects.
We enter our current password.
We select "Google Authenticator, Time-Based (recommended)" in "Multifactor Authentication Type".
We click "Get Started".
We will be given the QR code.
We open Google Authenticator on the phone.
We tap the plus icon at the top on the right.
We tap "Scan barcode".
We scan the barcode.
Now, we enter our six-digit authorization code for "DreamHost Panel" on the computer.
We click "Activate".
We will be given the backup codes to write down and keep in a safe place in case we ever lose Google Authenticator account or the phone we use with Google Authenticator.
We copy the backup codes.
They are not shown in the video.
Now, we click "Menu" and log out.
We reopen our DreamHost account.
We enter "Multifactor Authentication Code".
It is 747631 in this video.
We can click the drop-down menu next to "Remember this computer?".
We can choose "Don't remember", "Remember for 1 week", or "Remember for 1 month".
Let's click "Remember for 1 month".
We update the "DreamHost Panel" code, since it has changed.

That was how to add two-step authentication to DreamHost hosting, using DreamHost as well as Google Authenticator. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thanks for watching VisiHow!
