Setup Speed Dial for Phonebook Contacts on HTC One M8

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to set up speed dial for a contact in the phonebook of a HTC One M8.


Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons

    It is one of these icons that we now need to access, as we need to open up the phonebook.

    To do that, we can use the first icon located at the bottom of the home screen at the far left-hand side

    Pressing down on this icon will open up our Phonebook

    We now need to swipe to the left twice

    In this video tutorial, we want to demonstrate how to set up speed dial for a contact. To do that, we need to choose a contact as an example.

    Choose any contact and press down on their name to enter their page or contact card.

    Now we need the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen

    There are three small white squares in a vertical line.

    If there are multiple numbers, choose the one desired.

    For "LOCATION", it also says "Not assigned", so we'll press down on that gray bar

    Now, we have the speed dial locations that are available and those that are taken
    .
    When it talks about setting up speed dial, it means when we open the phone application to call someone, and we see the keypad, we can use speed dial. This means we can just press down on one key, and it will phone the person that key, or number, is connected to.

    For example, we have "2

    Stan". When the keypad is open, and we press and hold down on number 2, it will automatically dial the number for "Stan" because we have connected "Stan" to the number "2".

    The numbers 4 to 9 are available, so let's choose number "4" by pressing down on it

    Choose any number that is available, perhaps one with a certain significance for that individual contact.
