Edited by Thor, Colette Cole, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to on a Microsoft Lumia 535. To begin this process, we are going to turn the phone on, by pressing this button here on the right-hand side.
When you press the button, you activate the phone.
Now from the bottom up, we are going to swipe the phone, revealing the Start Up menu.
Here on the main page, we are going to swipe to the side.
Now we are going to scroll down until we find settings, which are alphabetically listed.
Now we see the settings.
Press the tile.
We then enter the system applications area in the settings category and we are going to scroll down until we get to the "Kid's Corner" selection.
Press "Kid's Corner" to activate it.
We can see here on the screen "Kid's Corner is a place on your phone where you can share apps, videos, games, and music with your child.
They'll have a start screen of their own and easy access to the items you add there. Your child can open Kid's Corner by swiping left from the lock screen".
Now we've got to pick "next" to begin this process.
Here we can choose what we want to add to the child's corner.
We have games.
You can also add music, videos, and apps. I'm just going to add 1 app now just to show you how the process works.
I'm going to add a calculator, just because children should always have access to a calculator and they should be using it regularly.
We can select that and now press the check mark at the bottom of the screen.
Now we need to set a password, one they will never guess.
I'm just going to do 1 ,2 ,3 , and 4.
Then we have to confirm the password. That should be too difficult for any child to guess. Now press "done".
That means that we have selected that.
The screen will read "Kid's Corner is ready to roll. Tap "Finish" and we'll turn it on now. You can get back to Kid's Corner later by swiping left from your lock screen. To leave Kid's Corner, just press your phone's power button".
So we are just going to finish this now.
Now you see that we have entered Kid's Corner.
You can swipe up and then press OK.
The next screen will show us what we already have.
As you can see that I added the calculator and if you add games, videos and music, you'll also find this in Kid's Corner.
There's a customize option here.
As you can see, it allows us to choose some simple options such as add a name, choose a picture, change the background or accent color.
We don't need to do this now, but you can do this later if you so choose.
I'm going to leave this section of Kid's Corner. We do so by pressing the power button.
So I press the power button.
We're going to leave. Then press it again to turn it on. Now we can see we are at the lock menu.
We are going to swipe to the left.
Now you see Kid's Corner has appeared.
That's how you're going to access Kid's Corner; by swiping between the main phone, the main menu, and swiping to the left over to Kid's Corner and then swiping up to reveal the apps, videos and games and information that you have selected to be here.
For example, when you click calculator, it is ready to use.
To leave, press the power button
Press the power button back on to return to the main menu of the phone.
This concludes our tutorial on how to set up and how to activate Kid's Corner on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
