You are watching VisiHow. Today, we are going to show you how to setup Google Plus on your iPhone 6.
To get started with, we are going to single-press the lock button on the right side of our iPhone 6.
That's going to open up the lock screen.
We are going to slide across the screen to unlock it.
Once we slide across the screen to unlock it, we should be on the main Home screen.
If you are already on your phone then you are few screens over.
There is a black round button or white button, depending on your phone, you have at the bottom.
Single press it to take you back to the main Home screen.
Once you are on the main Home screen, you are looking for the App Store button.
Give a single press to the App Store icon.
This will open up the App Store.
Inside of the App Store, we are going to the bottom and tap on Search.
We are not to be concerned with the trending page because I do not see anything that we need.
We are going to tap on the gray search bar.
Now, we can search for Google.
There is a Google Plus at the bottom.
Here is the Google Plus application icon.
Give a little quick press just to make sure we have the right one - and in fact, we do.
Now we are going to tap on the little cloud here.
It is going to let me download this (Google Plus).
You may have to tap on Get and then tap on Install if you have not previously download it on another device or if this is your first download.
Let us wait it will begin downloading - as represented by the circle with box in the middle.
Tapping the box will Pause or Stop your download and you can tap anytime to resume and it will pick back up.
You may lose your download progress, depending (on your situation), but that's the best you pay for stopping it.
If you can tap the Home button here - down bottom button.
Quick tap on that.
It will take you back to the Home screen.
You will see that it is loading. You can tap to Pause it.
You can tap the button to un-pause it.
Since we are already on the Home screen, I will just let it sit here for a minute while it downloads - represented by this little ticking clock.
I will come back to it is soon as that part is finished.
Once the Google Plus application has been successfully downloaded and installed, you have a red G+ right here - you will see it on your Home screen.
Application is always installed on the first available space.
Press the black Home button to take you to the main Home screen.
So let's give the red G+ a single tap.
Open that up Google Plus.
A really cool retro 1970's Austin Power's style look, at least in my opinion, because that's just kind of old-fashioned.
I am going to use this handsome guy right here as my account.
So I am just going to tap that.
I can choose one of my two accounts.
I am going to choose the first one.
Google would like to send me applications.
OK fantastic, thanks Google.
Do I want to Turn on AutoBackup?
Well, that is going to let me backup my photos and videos privately to my Google Plus account - I do not want to do this. The reason I do not want to do this is because later we are going to show you a really cool tutorial on how you can spend money to store your photos with Apple.
Since I am going to spend money to store my photos with Apple why would I use any free service with Google.
Right? I mean it must be crazy not want to save money but such is the life in the tutorial world so I am going to tap Not Now
Here we are on Google Plus.
I have got a new post from Iskander. I going to scroll down now and I got a post from Emma Jone and another post from RJ Blain. All these posts just pop in here
This will let you allow Google to access your Photos.
If I'll let Google access my photos then they will access them. I can add them if I'd like. Here's a photo of my munchkins. That's a camera shot. We're going to tap on X to go Back.
You can tap on Location.
This allows Google to access my Location. Google, here we are, show me where I am.
Here I am thank you very much Google.
Now I can tap on the X button.
I can Link.
If I want to add a link to anything in here, I can add that link and then I can look for it or I can post for it.
If I want to make a new post, share my thoughts and let people know what I am thinking about I have been thinking about thinking about.
I can add all that information here. I can share that on public but I do not want to - someone might have access.
If I want to change things I can tap the Menu and you can see my whole little sections here - Communities, Locations, Events, Hangouts, Photos, and of course my Home.
If I want to change my settings I can change those here, as well, simply by tapping on settings button.
It will open up all my whole list of things.
I can also sign out should I choose to do so. I'm not interested in doing that now, though.
Let's move that over to the closest Settings menu.
Here I can choose what I am seeing- What's Hot, Nearby, Following, Family, Friends.
Also I have the option to here access my contact let's see who is in my contacts.
You can see here is the list of people who are in contacts that I could conceivably add.
I'm going to tap back. I can add back Notifications here.
And I got a message post from the lovely Julie.
This is the Google Plus application and this is how you downloaded, install and startup.
When you finish with it give a quick press on the Home button take you back to the Home screen.
One more quick press on the Home button and you'll be back to the main screen.
And this concludes our tutorial on how to use the Google Plus application on your iPhone 6.
For questions, comments, and suggestions, please leave them on the section bellow. Thanks for choosing VisiHow and we hope you have a great day.
