You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to set up the Bing desktop. In order to set up the Bing desktop, we first need to download and install the application.

Steps

    To do this, we're going to navigate down to our taskbar and click on the Google Chrome icon to open a web browser

    This will open the user.com control window, and we'll be asked if we would like the application to make changes to our PC

    The next option is to "Set Internet Explorer as my default browser"

    Personally, I do not prefer Internet Explorer, so I am going to uncheck this option.

    Then we'll have the option to "Set my homepage to MSN"

    I also do not want to have my homepage set to MSN, particularly as this applies to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Therefore, I will uncheck this option.

    Finally, we have the option to "Set Bing as my default search provider"

    I am going to uncheck this also, as it affects all of our installed browsers.

    This sends anonymous data to Microsoft about our browsing and how we use it. In my case, I'm also going to uncheck this.

Close Bing Desktop
