Hi. You are watching VisiHow, and this is a tutorial on how to set default search engine in Opera web browser.
Start off by double clicking on the Opera icon to open the browser.
Once the window opens, you need to go to the Settings, by pressing on the Opera button which is located in the upper left corner of the screen.
There are several sections here, Browser, Website, Privacy & Security and Opera Help, and in the Browser section there are several subsections.
In the Search section, you have two options, you can either select from the drop-down menu, which is now set as a Google Search.
For example, let's set it to Bing Search.
But if your desired search engine is not in the list, then you can press on the Manage Search Engines.
You can set existing as default, for example, I am going to set Google search as my default.
If you want to 'Add New Search Engines', you can click on this button.
Input the name, the Keyword and the Address, then click on 'Save'.
Once you are sure that you are ready, press the Done button.
You can then select your search engine in the drop-down list menu.
This concludes our tutorial on how to set default search engine in Opera web browser on Windows 7 computers.
