You're watching VisiHow. In the video tutorial, we are going to review the lock-screen security using the pattern on the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
First, we need to find Settings to access "Screen security".
The Settings icon is gear-shaped. We can find it in the applications folder. To access the application folder, we need to tap the applications folder icon located in the lower right-hand corner of the home screen.
We find and tap the Settings icon.
We will find "Connections", "Device", "Controls", and "General" in the settings menu.
We tap "Device".
We will see "Sound and display" and "Personalization".
We tap the first option under "Personalization", "Lock screen", once.
The current "Screen security" setting is "None". Let's protect our device.
Let's find and tap "Pattern".
It is a medium security protocol.
Let's draw a pattern in order to protect our device.
The pattern will be recorded.
We tap "Continue" and confirm our pattern.
We need to set up a backup PIN.
This PIN is needed in case we forget our pattern. In this video, we'll make it 0002.
We confirm the PIN and tap "Done".
Our lock screen will be secured with a pattern.
We press the power button once.
We press the power button once more.
Now, we can draw our pattern.
This concludes our tutorial on the lock-screen security using a pattern on the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Thank you for watching VisiHow! Please feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, or question in the space provided below.
