Hello, you are watching VisiHow. My name is Kara and in today's video, I will show you how to set up the notifications for you applications on iPhone 4S.Let's go to the settings. Settings icon looks like grey gears.
Okay, here we are.
So, I need to go to the notifications
Now, I can sort by time or I can sort them manually.
I would prefer to sort them manually.
For example, now you have to go to each one of your applications - I will start with the phone. Okay, so we are going to phone.
Here, it gives me options to allow notifications or not allow them and when I don't allow, if people who are calling me.
They are not going to probably get any response because my phone will not perform any signs of life or any signs of that somebody is calling so let us turn them on. We don't need that
I can set up the badge or turn it off.
Show lock screen or not show lock screen.
Basically, here are the examples what the notifications look like.
When you have no notifications, you will have completely empty screen,
If you want banners, you will have just the little banner on top of your screen or if you had like an SMS, they will just line up on your screen
and the alerts will show up like this.
You can choose banners, none or alerts.
I choose alerts. With phone calls, it seems like the most convenient option. I can choose notification sounds as well.
Vibration and let me turn the volume on.
Some of the ringtones that were set up by default.
Okay, next let's see what else I have here.
Okay... Apple store.
Apple store is not something I would want to see daily on my - I have banners set up by default but I would choose to see none so I am pressing here.
Show unlock screen, No I do not think so.
Badge app icons, yes maybe, so I leave it on.
Let's go down to Facebook, Facebook shows that I have no notifications.
Let's turn them on and set them up.
I would not want to have any sounds so I am turning the sounds off,
Show lock screen, okay.
Badge App icon, no.
Now, let's see the messenger
Messenger is off, I can turn it on or I can choose to keep it off.
Let's leave just the sounds
OK, Mail allows notifications.
I have a choice of email applications. I can set up differently Gmail and Yahoo!.
So you can choose any application and install the notifications - I mean set up the notifications in the way that is convenient for you.
