Steps

    To start, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the Lock button located on the right-hand side of the device

    Once we are on the Lock screen, press down on the closed padlock icon and swipe down

    Once the phone is unlocked, we need to locate the emulator itself
    .
    In our case, ours is inside of our Emulator folder.

    After we have located our emulator application icon, we need to tap on it one time

    This icon features a picture of a controller, inside of an orange square. Underneath of this icon, it will read "ePSXe" in black text.

    This is going to open our emulator application

    We now need to tap on "Preferences"

    This is the third option down. The text will be written in white, inside of a blue bar.

    We will note the word "Preferences" written at the very top left-hand corner in white text.

    Here we need to scroll down, we can do this by pressing our finger to the screen and swiping upwards

    We are now looking for the option labeled "Sound Quality"
    .
    This option will be located first in the "SOUND PREFERENCES" menu. In our case, it will read "Less sound effects (fast)" underneath of this option, this is because this is the option we currently have selected.

    Tap on the "Sound Quality" option one time, this will open up a dialog box for us titled "Sound Quality"

    Here we can choose from three options. These options are "No Sound (fastest)", "Less sound (fast)", and "Full sound effects (slow)". Depending on our phones overall performance, we need to make a decision. The less sound the phone has to produce, the more frame rates the games will get. We will need to choose according to our personal preference.

    In our case, we are going to set it to "Full sound effects (slow)" by tapping on this option one time

    To save this change, we need to press the Back button located on the lower left-hand corner of the phone
