Set Pattern Lock for LG L70
Edited by Hotelier, Rushell, Eng, Anonymous
Thank you for watching VisiHow. Today, we will show you how to set a pattern to protect access to your LG L70.
To begin, we are on our Home screen.
There are two ways we can access the Settings menu.
One way is by swiping down from the top of the screen.
This will open the "Notifications" screen.
On the "Notifications" screen, we can press the gear-shaped icon in the top right-hand corner to open the Settings.
Another way to access the Settings menu is through the "Apps" menu, which we can open via the icon at the bottom right-hand corner.
It is a gray box with a series of white squares inside of it.
Press down on the "Apps" icon one time to open a list of all of the applications.
On the "Apps" menu, we'll find the gear-shaped icon again that says "Settings".
We can tap on this icon one time to open up the Settings menu.
In the Settings menu, we will need to access the "Display" area, so we'll just select that at the top of the screen.
In order to set a pattern, we will need to do that on our "Lock screen".
This can be found in the "HOME & LOCK" section, which is the first area at the top of the screen.
Press down on the second option, "Lock screen", one time.
We currently have no screen lock set.
In order to set a pattern we need to tap one time on the option at the top of the screen.
Now, we are looking for "Pattern".
This is where we can draw a pattern to unlock our screen.
Once we select "Pattern", a grid with several circles will appear, and it will ask us to "Draw an unlock pattern".
We can create any pattern we would like.
After we have finished drawing a pattern, it will appear on the screen.
Then we want to tap "Continue" at the bottom of the screen.
Now, it is asking us to "Draw pattern again to confirm" that this is the pattern we would like to use.
Now, we're going to tap "Confirm" at the bottom right.
Since we have previously set a PIN, we can either use the same one or enter a new PIN.
The PIN will be used in case we forget the pattern.
We'll select "Yes" to enter a new backup PIN, so we can demonstrate exactly how this works.
We need to enter a set of numbers using the keypad.
We'll just choose four random numbers.
Then tap "Next" at the bottom right-hand corner.
It will then ask us to "Confirm backup PIN", so we'll type in the same four numbers again.
Now, tap on "Done" at the bottom right.
Now, our Lock screen access has been changed, and we can return to the Home screen by pressing the bottom center button one time.
To lock the screen from the Home screen, we can press the top button on the right-hand side of the phone.
This will make the screen black and lock it until we reopen it at a later time.
We can do that by pressing the top button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Now, we'll see the grid where we will need to draw the pattern we just created in order to open the Home screen of the phone.
After drawing the pattern successfully, we'll be taken to the Home screen.
This concludes our presentation on setting a pattern to protect access to our LG L70.
