Set PIN to Unlock the Nexus 6P

You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to demonstrate how to change the "Lock Screen Mode" from "Pattern Unlock" to "PIN Unlock".
To do this, we'll take two fingers and swipe from the top to reveal the "Settings" icon.
It's the gear-shaped icon on the top right.
Lets tap on it once.
We'll scroll down until we reach the "Personal" menu cluster and then we'll tap on "Security."
Here, we'll tap on "Screen lock." It's currently set on "Pattern."
It will prompt us to enter our Pattern.
After we have entered the pattern, we can change this to PIN.
It will give an option of requiring the PIN to start the device and I will leave that as it is and click on "CONTINUE."
Now, I will create a PIN, which has to be at least four digits, but fewer than seventeen.
With our four-digit PIN, I will click on "CONTINUE."
Reenter that four-digit PIN to confirm it.
Now, press the Circle button to go back to the home screen.
Then, press the power button to turn off the device and lock it.
Press the power button once again to unlock the device.
Then, swipe up to enter the PIN code.
Enter the PIN code that you have just created.
Then, press the check mark in the lower-right corner.
This has been a video tutorial on how to change your "Lock Screen Security" to "PIN code" on the Nexus 6P. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
