The first thing we need to do is go to the Control Panel by right clicking on the Windows icon in the lower left corner of the screen, and then selecting "Control Panel".
When the "Control Panel" opens, we need to click on "Programs".
Then we need to click on "Default Programs".
Then click on "Set your default programs" at the top.
Now, we need to wait for it to load, which might take several seconds.
Once it's loaded we need to scroll down to find "Microsoft Edge".
Click on that once to highlight it.
Now, we have two options.
We can "Set this program as default" for everything that it can open.
We could also select "Choose defaults for this program" to choose the programs one by one.
In this case, we'll go ahead and select the bottom option, "Choose defaults for this program".
At its current settings, "Microsoft Edge" can open files with ".htm", ".html" and ".pdf" extensions, as well as "HTTP", "HTTPS", "MICROSOFT-EDGE" and "READ" documents.
In the case of our example, "HTTP" and "HTTPS" are set to be opened in Google Chrome.
To change this, simply click on the boxes to add checks to them.
Then click on "Save" at the bottom right.
