Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to send photos in chat when using the Viber application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
Once the phone is activated, you will see the lock screen.
Swipe the lock screen up and this will take us to the home screen.
One the home screen, we need to find the Viber tile.
Mine is located here. You can see that there is a purple tile background and in the middle, there is the Viber logo which is a white speech bubble and it contains a white phone inside. If you have not pinned the Viber tile to your home screen, then swipe left and find it in the applications menu. Once you have located the Viber tile - wherever it may be - press down on it to allow us to enter the application.
Once the application is loaded, we will need to be in chats section.
You can see here, it says the word "chats" at the top in white text. If you are not in this section, then swipe left or right until you are in that section.
Then, we need to find a chat in order to show you how to send photos in a chat.
We can either select a chat that we already have or we can create a new chat by pressing this icon here. It is a white circle with a white plus sign or white cross at the bottom. You can either create a new chat to send a photo or if you have an existing chat, you can use that. Choose which one you would like; we are going to use an existing chat.
Press down on their icon or their name.
This is our chat with H.
You can see we have said hello to him today. What we then want to do is press the icon in the bottom right-hand corner in the purple bar; there are three dots in a line. This is the ellipses. Press down on that until the menu appears.
We want to show you these icons at the top, these four circles with four different icons inside.
Only three of them are available right now because we have not written anything so we cannot send it so the first icon is not available.
We want to use the second icon.
It is a white circle with a white paper clip inside. This is the attach icon. If we press this, it is going to allow us to attach a photo. Let's press this icon then and it is going to take us to our media folders that we have on our Microsoft Lumia 535.
Right at the bottom, we have one circle with a white camera in it.
If we press this icon, it is going to allow us to take a photo right now and it will upload that to the Viber application.
If you want to choose from one of your albums, we have some albums here.
We can send a photo via our albums.
If we change the menu, we have our "pictures".
Also at the top, we have "videos".
We can go back to "albums".
Choose a section that has an image that you want to send.
Then find the photo; you can choose multiple photos by pressing this icon. You can see there is a white circle at the bottom in the purple bar and there are three white ticks and horizontal lines inside. If we press this, it is going to allow us to select multiple photos.
Just press down on the photos until you have as many as you want.
We are going to send three photos.
If you do not want to send multiple photos, just press down on one photo without pressing that icon and that will just send one photo.
Once you are satisfied, press down on this icon here; the a white circle with a white tick inside at the bottom of the screen.
That is going to allow us to add an explanation so we can add a description if we want to.
We have the option here to change between photos.
We can swipe left or right between the photos.
Each time, we are going to have the option to add a description.
Just press down on the bar where it says "add description" and that will bring up the keypad.
We will write "Thanks" again, just to show you.
Once we are happy with that, we can just press the enter button at the bottom or just press on the screen and that will actually take you back to the photo.
Look through the individual photos.
Add a description if you want. We have the option to delete the photos if you don't want to send them. Just press down on one of the "x"s. You can see at the top, each photo has a white outline and inside there is a white "x". Let's press down on one to get rid of it.
I pressed down on the middle "x", the middle photo has now been deleted.
There are only two photos left.
If we want to add more photos, we can press this icon here; there is a black plus or cross in a white square.
Press down on that and that is going to allow you to add more photos. We will press down on that and it is going to take us back into the album.
It is going to allow us to press down on another photo until the tick appears in the corner.
When the tick appears in the corner, you know it has been selected.
Then press this icon again at the bottom of the screen - the white circle with a white tick in it.
After we do all that - we have added the description we want and we are ready to send this - we press this icon here at the bottom of the screen in the purple bar.
You can see that there is a big white circle and it has an envelope inside and it now says the number 3 in a smaller circle. This shows that there are three photos being sent. When you are happy to send this, press down on this icon and it is going to send your message.
It is probably going to take some time to do this.
Now you can see that each photo is sending. Once it is received, you will see an icon that says delivered.
You can see we have the three photos if we scroll up.
It says, "sent" underneath and the second one is saying "sending". We have successfully sent the photos using the chat section of this application.
This concludes our tutorial on how to send photos in a chat when using the Viber application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
