Send Direct Messages on Instagram on iPhone 6

Hello. You are watching VisiHow. In this video, I will teach you to send direct messages on Instagram while using the iPhone 6.
Let's go to Instagram.
It's the little brown icon with a camera lens in the center.
Now we need to tap on this little house icon at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
I am now in my Instagram timeline.
Sending direct messages on Instagram is simple and yet it is very difficult to find.
You will be going to your profile and trying to figure out where to send private messages from. I discovered it one day accidently. I'm pretty sure that I would not notice the little icon which is right here on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
You have to make sure you're on your timeline by tapping the home button which is the one with the house on it, as I mentioned.
Then you have that little icon which looks like an opened envelope at the top. Just tap on it.
As you can see, I already have some messages.
To create a new one, I have to tap on the "+" sign at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
From there I can take a photo of myself, by pressing the camera icon in the center of the screen, or I can take a photo from my timeline as well.
This photo I just took of my hand doing the peace sign is the one I am going to be sending right now in my direct message.
I can also apply a filter to it if I desire.
The next step is to press on "next".
Now I need to find a person who I am going to send this photo to.
So I can either select a person from the list of people that are suggested by Instagram or I can type a person's name to bring it up.
Now you can see it says to write a caption.
Technically speaking, this is your message that you will be sending privately, without other people seeing it.
Tap the message box and type.
After your message is written, tap on the little "OK" button at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
When you're completely sure that this is all, you will tap on the "send to" button at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to add more people, you tap on additional names from the list, or you can type the person's name the same way we did before.
You then can then press the send button.
When the person that you just sent a direct message to replies to you, you can tap the reply and it will open.
You will see the photo you used as well as the reply.
That is where your dialog will be saved.
Let's take a look at another one.
So as I scroll down here, you can see all of the messages that we've exchanged with that person.
Go back to your timeline.
When you have a new message appearing, you will see a little notification on top of that icon that looks like an open envelope at the top right corner of your screen.
You've just watched me showing you how to send direct messages on Instagram while using your iPhone 6.
If you have any additional questions, you're welcome to leave them in the section below.
