In order to screen mirror your Samsung device to a computer, you need some additional hardware. Most if not all computers do not have any built in way of wirelessly transferring HDMI video. You will need to purchase the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub, and plug it into the HDMI port of your computer. This will allow the phone to recognize the computer as a device on the network for screen sharing.

I am not sure which brand of Laptop that you are using. If you have a Samsung Laptop, then you can use AllShare for you to have a screen sharing or screen mirroring from the phone to your Samsung Laptop. If you have a Non Samsung Windows 7 computer, then you need to download an application called Phone Screen sharing that can be downloaded from Samsung Apps. Here is the link to check: http://apps.samsung.com/mercury/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=000000593582&srchClickURL=%7C@sn=SAPS%7C@qh=-1936775619%7C@qid=SAPS.SRCH.PRX%7C@q=Phone+screen+sharing%7C@tot=27%7C@idx=0%7C@doc=G00013891106%7C@title=nil This application is meant for your phone to be mirrored on a Non-Samsung computer. You can find the steps in the article.

This is permitted as long as you download the corresponding software. It does not have to be a Samsung device all the time. When you download the SideSync software, it will also ask you what operating system you are using and you can download based on that.

Can I hook up my Samsung Note3 to my PC and work with it even if my screen is broken?

Hi! My Note3 screen is broken, and I need to know if it is possible to use my laptop as a surrogate screen.

It is highly unlikely that you can do that. You will need a monitor with an HDMI input. All laptops save a couple of models have no HDMI-in port. You could use it as a double screen with AirDroid or Chromecast, but you would need a fully functional smartphone for that.

Please help with Samsung Note3 problem?

I have managed to drop my Note3 and I am hoping that following your instructions to mirror the device to my TV can be done without having to see the Note3 screen if not I will take a long hard look at all the good guys still out there that can give some advice.. kind regards. I have tried: I have not tried anything as yet apart from viewing the cost of a replacement screen and as the screen is full of haze I think it will end up costing much more than just a screen which I can not afford at present, that is why I am looking for a work around. I think it was caused by: My daughter as nice and wonderful as she is dropped it
