Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to scan a text in any language and then translate it into other languages using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button
Swipe the lock screen up to access the home screen
Find and tap the "Lumia Camera" application
If it's not in the home screen, it may be located in the app menu.
Press the "..." menu button located at the bottom-right corner of the screen when the camera is loaded
Choose "lenses" from the list of options
Tap "Bing Vision" to open the scanner
It primarily searches for QR codes, but it will also scan text.
Place the text in front of the camera, and press the "scan text" button that pops up
Press the "Translate" button when the text is surrounded by white boxes
You can translate many different languages with this feature. It is important to note that you need an Internet connection to use this function. The text will be translated into the phone's default language, such as English.
If you want to translate the text into any other language, tap the text in the upper-left corner of the screen
Scroll through the menu to see the large number of languages you can translate the text to
One limitation of this application is that you cannot copy or paste the translation, so you cannot edit it.
If you want to take a screenshot of the translation, press the power button and the "volume up" button at the same time
You can save the screenshot to your phone or send it as a picture to someone else, but you won't be able to edit the text.
This concludes our tutorial on how to scan text in any language and translate it into other languages
