Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to save a link in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen; to unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and at the bottom, we will see these icons here.
It is one of these icons that we now need to access as we need to open up the applications folder.
To do that, we need this icon located at the bottom of the screen and in the middle.
There is a grid made of white dots. Press down on this icon and it will open up our applications folder.
In the applications folder, we need to find the Google Chrome application.
We can see that there is the Google Chrome icon which is a big circle made up of different colors and underneath, it says the word "Chrome". Your Google Chrome application may be in a different position in this folder therefore, you may need to find it. Once you have found it, press down on it to enter the application. In this video tutorial, we want to show you how to save a link from a website and to do that, we must first find a website.
Press down on the search bar at the top of the screen and type in a web address.
We can choose "msn.co.uk". Choose any website that is good for you and once we have done that, we need to find a link. By the term link, I mean a title that is going to lead us to another webpage.
On this webpage for example, we have "Pics:
Britain bakes in heatwave" as a link.
We are just going to press down and hold on the link.
We can now see that this menu has appeared.
What we are going to do is we are going to save this link so that we can view it later.
To do that, we can press down on "Save link" at the bottom of the screen.
It is going to say "Downloading...".
We can also see that at the top left-hand corner of the screen, there is the downloading icon.
Swipe down the notifications panel.
We can do this by starting at the top of the screen and swiping down.
We will see that it says "Download complete" so this has now been downloaded.
Now, we want to show you how you can view these downloads.
To do that, we need to press the home screen icon which is at the bottom of the screen, in the middle, and looks like the outline of a white house.
We are going to press down on the applications folder icon again which is here in the middle.
The icon is a grid of white dots.
Now, we are going to look for the "Tools" folder.
We can see that it says the word "Tools" and this is a folder because it has a black background and in the middle, there are different icons. Anything with a black background and icons inside is a folder. Look for the Tools folder and press down on it.
Now, we are looking for the option which says "Downloads".
The icon is a blue circle with a white arrow pointing down. Press down on this icon.
Now, we can see that this is the link that we just downloaded and if we want to view it, we can just press down on it and that will allow us to view it.
This is how we save links in the Google Chrome application and this is the folder in which, the downloads are saved.
This concludes our tutorial on how to save a link in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8. If you have any questions or comments regarding this video or regarding the process that you have seen in this video, then please leave them in the comment section below and we shall answer them for you.
