- 5The application will take you to your previously viewed location, or it will take you to the current location. The current location will be used if the icon with a little white compass, the top icon in the bottom right corner, is lit in blue. In this example, the map has switched to the previous location, Trafalgar Square. The red pin means that this is the exact location for which a search has been performed.Tap Google Maps to open the application.
