Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to restore files from the bin in the Photos applications on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen.
At the bottom, we'll see these icons here.
It is one of these icons that we now need to access as we need to open up the applications folder.
To do that, we need this icon located at the bottom of the phone screen.
In the middle, we can see that there's a grid made out of white dots.
Press down on this icon and it'll open up our application folder.
In this folder, we need to find the Photos application.
We can see there is an icon of a shape made up of different colors. Underneath, it also says the word "Photos". Your Photos applications may be in a different position in this folder, therefore we need to search for it.
Once we find it, press down on the icon and that will allow us to enter the application.
In this video tutorial, we want to show you how to restore files from the bin in this application. This is because when we delete things in the Photos application, we do not completely delete them. Rather, we send them to a bin and there, they stay for some time and then they are deleted. This gives us the opportunity to restore files if we deleted them and later we want to restore them.
To do that then, we need to press down on this icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen, where there are three horizontal lines.
Press down on this icon and it'll open up this menu.
We want the option that says the word "Bin".
Next to it there is an icon of a bin. Press down on the word "Bin".
We can see that we have these items here.
It says "Items in the bin will be permanently deleted after 60 days." But before that, we have the opportunity to restore these files if we want to.
To do that then, press down on the file we want to restore.
We then press down on this icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen with three small white dots in a vertical line.
Press down on this icon and we're looking for the first option, which says "Restore".
Press down on the word "Restore" and it'll say "Item restored from bin".
Press the Back button at the bottom left of the screen.
Press the back arrow in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
Go down to the bottom and we can see that this file has been restored to our Photos.
This then concludes our tutorial on how to restore files from the bin in the Photos application on an HTC One M8.
