Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to report inappropriate videos on YouTube using the 'YouTube' application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, unlock your phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen.
Alternatively, press the 'Lock' button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode.
As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the 'Home' button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the 'YouTube' icon on the 'Home screen'.
In this example, the 'Home screen' is customized and might look a bit different. The icon is red framed with a triangle inside of a white square that looks like a TV screen. Tap it once to open the application.
As an example of how to report a video, we will tap on this video.
Opening the application should have automatically taken us to the 'What to watch' page which will be either specifically recommended videos we've watched (if we're signed in), or if we're not signed in, it will be the most watched or most popular videos on YouTube at that time. We can refer to the article on how to sign in with 'YouTube' on the iPhone 6 if we don't know how to sign in.
To pause a video, tap on the center of the video screen.
Tap on the three vertical dots icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
This will bring up three options.
Tap on the 'Report' button on the right side.
It is indicated by an icon that looks like a flag. It will bring up a list of things to report the video for containing the same flag icon.
Tap on the option that applies to what you are reporting.
In this example, we will tap on 'Playback issues'.
Tap on the white bar at the top of the screen to add a description to the report.
Click on the on-screen options to select or remove them from the report.
They will be indicated with a blue check mark if they are selected. Tap the option again to unselect it and remove the blue check mark.
Tap the blue arrow in the top-left corner to go back to the report.
Tap on 'Preview' in the top-right corner to see a preview of the video report.
Tap on the blue 'Send' button in the top-right corner to send the video report to YouTube.
If we're not going to send the report, we will tap on the blue arrow in the top-left corner to go back, and press 'Cancel' to discard the report and return to the video.
Tap and drag the video down to minimize it.
Tap and swipe the minimized video to the right to close it.
This will take us to the 'What to Watch' screen that we started from.
Now you know how to report videos on YouTube using the 'YouTube' application on iPhone 6.
If you have any questions or comments please enter them in the section below. Thank you for using VisiHow, goodbye.
