Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to remove a Twitter account from an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen
To unlock the phone, we need to press down on the screen and swipe upwards
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen with five various icons in a row at the bottom
We now need to find the Settings menu, and to do this we need to swipe the Notification panel down.
To bring down the Notification panel, start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards
Now, we can see that the Notification panel has appeared
We will note the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen
This is our Settings icon.
Tap down on the Settings icon one time
This will open up our Settings menu
We will note the word "Settings" in white in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
Now, let's scroll down until we get to the "PERSONAL" section
This section is marked by a gray bar with the word "PERSONAL" inside of it.
In this section, we now need to locate the option labeled "Accounts & sync"
Next to these words, there will be an icon of a gray circle surrounded by two arrows forming another circle. This is the second option down from the top.
Press down on the "Accounts & sync" option, and this is going to open up our Accounts & sync menu
In order to remove a Twitter account, we first need to have added and synced a Twitter account to the HTC One M8. If we would like to learn how to do that, search for a video tutorial on how do this on VisiHow. Please check that out, and we will gladly help through that process.
Now, we are going to scroll down to locate our "Twitter" option
We can see it says the word "Twitter", with the Twitter bird icon to the left of it.
Press down on the word "Twitter", and it will open up our Twitter options
We can see that we currently have a Twitter account synced and connected to our HTC One M8
Our account is called "TomTomthumb391". We can, however, remove this account because we may no longer want to use it on our HTC One M8.
To begin the removal process, we can press the icon with three, small, gray squares in a horizontal line located to the right of our account name
This will open up a small black menu, giving us the options to "Sync now" or "Remove"
We are now going to tap on the bottom option, labeled "Remove"
This will bring up a confirmation box titled "Remove account"
The message in this box lets us know that "Removing this account will delete all of its messages, content, and other data from our phone." We have the options to "CANCEL" or "REMOVE ACCOUNT".
If we have changed our mind and would like to go back, we can tap on the left option labeled "CANCEL"
However, if we would like to continue and remove the account, press down on the option on the right that says "REMOVE ACCOUNT"
Our request will be processed, and we will be brought back to the "Accounts & sync" menu
Then we will note the Twitter account option has been removed.
This concludes our tutorial on how to remove a Twitter account from an HTC One M8
