Questions and Answers

How can I reinstall Kit Kat if my Galaxy S5 has no external memory and I cannot log into the phone to use developer options?

If you can't log into your phone because you forgot the password lock, you have a few options. You can try to get into your phone by entering the wrong password until it asks you for your Google account. When you enter the information, your phone will unlock and let you remove the password so you can follow the steps above. If you forgot your Google account information, go to this site to try to recover it. If you can't recover your information, or you've never logged into a Google account to begin with, you will have to perform a Factory Reset, which will reinstall Kit Kat automatically. To properly perform a Factory Reset, follow the steps in this great VisiHow guide.

Hi, I just got a Sprint Galaxy S5 from a friend who upgraded to a new phone.

He appears to have rooted the phone and I can't get it unlocked, or upgrade to Android 5, etc. How can I reinstall the regular 4.2.2 without breaking the phone? I happen to have another Sprint S5 in the family, can I just clone the software?

From custom ROM back to stock ROM?

Hello, I have a question. How do I go about installing the stock ROM back onto my Samsung G S5? The custom ROM I am using is Clinch custom ROM. The custom ROM is OK, but I really want to revert back to my stock ROM. I have tried: I have wiped/factory reset my phone using TWRP recovery and then attempted to install the stock back using ODIN V3. I ran ODIN as Admin, connected my S5 using the S5 USB (1st) and went through the process. I clicked start and BAM, FAILED! So I attempted again, only this time using a micro USB cable (2nd) and then, BAM, FAILED! I think it was caused by: I became curious about custom ROMs, I decided to check them out. I tried the custom ROMs (Clinch is what I'm currently using on my model SM-G900F) and the custom ROM version of Android 5.0 (My 4G LTE does not work with that ROM). I also get a booted up message about Kernel uh, seandroid, something like that on boot up.

How do I manage to arrive at download mode?

When pressing the button combination to enter boot mode, it does not work for my phone. What should I do? I have tried: I have tried the 3 key version, as well as trying to boot through software (QuickBoot) or through the Samsung 300K tool. In all cases, it just re-boots but never gets to download mode. I think it was caused by: No idea!
