Refine Your Search on Tumblr on iPhone 6

Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to refine your search using the Tumblr application on the iPhone 6.



Steps

    To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone

    Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the home button at the bottom of the screen

    Swipe to the right to enter your passcode
    .
    As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.

    Find the Tumblr icon, which is blue with a white "T" inside of it, and tap it once to open the application

    It will automatically take us to the dashboard which is like the home page for Tumblr and is indicated by the house icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

    Tap on the magnifying glass icon, located at the bottom of the screen next to the house icon

    Tap on the white search bar at the top of the screen to begin a search
    .
    As we can see, it brings up saved searches but we can also search for something else by tapping and typing. Before we even press search, we have the tag options depending on what we're searching for, or we have blogs to do with the search as well.

    Tap on the blue "Search" button located in the bottom-right corner

    This will load posts to do with what we've searched for.

    Tap on the title or thumbnail of a blog to view it

    Tap on the "+" icon to the right of a blog title to follow it

    Tap on the symbol in the top-right corner of the screen

    This will open a new search window.

    Scroll down and tap on a refine option of choice
    .
    The option "All posts" is selected and indicated by the check mark on the right side, but we can add a check mark by tapping on "Text" to view only text posts, or "Photo", "Quote", "Link", "Chat", "Audio", or "Video". We can specify exactly which types of posts we want.

    Tap outside of the window to close it and go back

    It will automatically update our results.

    Go back by tapping on the arrow located in the top-left corner of the screen
