Why would you like to redirect a blogger blog to some other blog or URL? This is very useful for some internet marketers that need to mask or hide the source of traffic to their blog. This is also useful if you have another blog and you want to focus on that one.

I made one example of a blogger blog that will be redirected to an amazon affiliate. Click Here : http://www.orderbikinioline.blogspot.com this blog will be redirected to an amazon link which is my affiliate link, then Amazon will detect the source of traffic from blogger.com. So you don't have to worry about where your traffic is coming from.

Further Ways to Increase Traffic to a Blog

  1. 1
    Improve the quality of your blog's content.
    If you are managing more than one blog and you do a lot of redirecting, you still need to make sure that you maintain good quality on all blogs. If you are able to redirect your audience once to your other blog successfully, it does not mean that they will stay. If they are not satisfied with what they've seen in the other blog, there is still a high likelihood that they will not visit it again. What you want to do is redirect them, but at the same time encourage them to keep on visiting both sites because they have found some really useful information.{

  2. 2
    Make each of your sites or blog unique.
    Redirecting is good if you intend to eventually close down one blog and just maintain the newer one. In which case, you are using this process to introduce to your existing audience your other blog. However, if you intend to keep both sites, you need to make sure that both of them are actually unique. If, for example, you redirected your current audience to your other blog that is almost the same as the current one, there is actually no need for them to move. Eventually, what will happen is they will just select to keep on visiting one. Therefore, you lose audience in one and you gain in one. What you would like to happen is create two different blogs and redirect them there just to catch their attention. Once you have accomplished this, encourage them to keep on visiting both through interesting content.

  3. 3
    Maintain a good level of interaction.
    Audiences like it when they feel that a site is active enough that there is a good level of communication going on. If they leave comments as they get redirected, make sure that you respond to them timely. Allow other users to interact with each other as well.

  4. 4
    Provide updated information.
    Make your audience yearn to read your blog everyday because you are always offering them something fresh and new. It may be good to be aware of the latest trends and what people read all the time. However, in addition to this, it is also good to feature other interesting topics that are not covered by others as well.

  5. 5
    Avoid using too many links on your site.
    If you keep on citing too many links to other sites, sometimes the site looks rather untrustworthy as it seems to be prone to spreading viruses or links to untrustworthy sites. If you need to redirect them, it's OK, but do not fill up a page with too much links.

  6. 6
    Use interesting and quality pictures.
    A good number of people using the internet are visual people. Therefore, if you utilize great pictures on your blog, that will help capture their attention.

Questions and Answers

Redirection of blogger blog , help me with it?

I have a Blogger site which has a custom domain which I want to move one old domain to new. Let's pretend this is old-domain.com and new-domain.com.

I want to:

Preserve my search engine ranking as much as possible;

If any link to a page has the previous domain in the URL and is clicked on, it will redirect to corresponding page with the new, correct domain. (For example, www.old-domain.com/existing-page.html should redirect to www.new-domain.com/existing-page.html.)

Does anyone know how I would go about this?

This is totally possible to do. You can maintain the old URL as the one that your audience will go to. What you need to do is ask your website host to create a communicate between the old and the new site so that once a user clicks on the old site, they will automatically be diverted into the new site.
