Now, we can record audio directly in Sony Vegas Pro using a USB mic
    .
We can do this by going down to the timeline, right-clicking and adding an audio track if there's not one already.

Go over to the red circle button with another circle in the center, and click that
    .
It will then ask us to set a folder where we want to save the files. We can just leave it at default, or desktop, or anywhere else. Just press "OK" to that once we've found a good file.

On the bottom left-hand side, we will see a bar
    .
Whenever we talk into the microphone, it will go up. This shows how loud the microphone is, and we don't want it going up too high, like up into the red. We don't want it to fill up all the way. Three-quarters of the way is a good setting.

Click the "Play" button. Now we can record into Sony Vegas Pro. We can do this as many times as we need to. This way, we don't have to use another program like Audacity to prerecord our work. We can record directly into Sony Vegas Pro, which can save a lot of time in post-production.
