You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to quickly and easily switch between the existing keyboard languages on the iPhone 6.
To start with, let's press the Home bottom located at the center bottom of the phone.
Alternatively, we can press the Lock screen button at the right-hand side of the device.
This will bring us to the Lock screen.
From there we can swipe across, this will give us access to the phone.
However, if we have a Pin or a Passcode set up, we will need to enter it.
Alternatively, we can use a finger or our thumb and press down on the Home button.
This will activate the Touch ID sensor and unlock the phone. From here we are looking to create a message or a note, or any other type of text option on the Phone.
Let's start by opening a Message by tapping the Messages icon one time.
This icon is green, with a white text bubble inside of it. The word "Messages" will be written underneath of this icon in white.
In this message, we are going to type for example "Hi" then we can tap return to skip a line.
The return button is located on the right side of the keyboard, it is gray with the word "return" inside of it.
If we would like to switch languages, generally speaking, we can press the globe icon located on the keyboard.
Underneath of the letter "Z".
However, we may press and hold the globe icon which will allow us to move our finger up and cycle through the language options.
Once we are on top of the language we would like to select, we can lift our finger off of the screen and that language will be selected.
For this example, we will select the Russian keyboard.
We can then type whatever we would like, and then press the return button once again.
If we would like to switch back to English, we can simply press on the globe icon another time, moving up to the "English (US)" option, and then releasing our finger.
To better illustrate why this is important, if we wanted to be in English and I wrote "Hi", and then we tapped the globe icon again and switch languages, it is going to switch to Russian, then switch to Emoji, then to Georgian, then finally back to English. Let's say we wanted to write something in English and then in Russian, and then quickly switch back to English, we are unable to do that by simply tapping on the globe icon. The easiest way to accomplish this is by pressing and holding it so that we can quickly and easily select the keyboard language that we want.
Let's now press our Home button to exit our Message.
Now we will tap on the Notes icon to show that the same thing works in Notes.
This icon is represented by a square featuring a yellow panel at the top, with the bottom section white with black stripes. The word "Notes" will be underneath of it, written in white.
Now in notes, we will also write "Hi" and then hit return.
We can press and hold on the globe icon and select the Russian keyboard again.
Then we will do the same as earlier, simply type and press the return button.
Then we will go back down once more and press the globe icon, holding and then sliding up to "English (US)".
Then proceed to lift our finger off of the screen to select this option.
Once more we will press and hold the globe icon, we will note that with certain languages like "English (US)" we can easily turn on or off our Predictive text.
This is an extra function, and not something that we are particularly worried about in this tutorial.
Now let's press the Home button again to go back to our Home screen.
Give the Home button a quick double press to bring up our open Applications.
What we are going to do is just swipe up to close these open Windows.
We can do this by pressing down on one of the panels, and sliding our finger upwards.
Now let's tap on the Home screen panel to return the Home screen.
We have closed our open applications so that we are not worried about our battery being drained too fast.
Now our tutorial on how to quickly and easily switch between existing Keyboard languages on the iPhone 6 is concluded.
