Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to publish a story using the Microsoft Lumia Storyteller application through the Lumia Storyteller website when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right side of the phone.
Swipe the lock screen up to get to the Home Screen.
Now, we're going to open the Lumia Storyteller application.
I have the tile on my Home screen. Yours may be in a different location.
You also may need to swipe the screen from right to left to open the App menu, where you can scroll and find the Lumia Storyteller application.
When you find it, tap to open it.
First, we need to create a story.
It's important to note that when you upload a story to the website, you cannot actually do it in a way that you can see it on this application. It's very disappointing actually. For example, I can show you this, which is very small video.
The right icon on the bottom of the screen with an arrow pointing up is what you would press to upload the video.
Swipe from right to left, and you will see the option make a story of pictures into a video.
I will press the play button, so you can see what I mean.
It has music and is more visually exciting.
You can create a video, and it would appear that you would uploading the same thing.
Yet in reality, you're just going to upload the individual images. That is a lot more static, and it's not as vibrant or enjoyable. I'm going to show you how to do it, but you need to know what you're getting into before you invest a lot of time or effort into this application. So press the upload button, the up arrow at the bottom of the screen. That will take us to the Publish Your Story page.
We have several different options here.
We can make the visibility Private or Public by tapping on the switch near the middle of the screen. If it's private, only people with the URL can see it, and it will be invisible to everybody else.
We're happy with the visibility set as Private, so let's press continue at the bottom of the screen.
Now, we can select the images we want by tapping on them.
We can deselect images as well by tapping on them a second time.
When you've chosen the images you want to upload, tap the check mark at the bottom of the screen.
Now, it's going to prepare and upload the content.
This may take some time.
I am going to cut away and rejoin you when the upload is complete.
The upload has been completed.
We are now in the option of our online stories.
We can tap on one of our stories to bring up additional options for it.
We can share it by tapping on the share button in the middle at the bottom of the screen.
We can also visit the website.
By tapping on the ellipsis on the far right, we bring up the option of copying the URL to the clipboard in order to paste it into a message to a friend if we want to share it with them.
We'll press the Internet Explorer button, which will take us to the Lumia Storyteller website.
Now, we'll be able to see the images.
There is the excitement of the story video, but we'll be able to view the images. This is mainly a way of sharing images or photos that have a story behind them, rather than to show a more exciting story that we can watch on the application on the phone.
This concludes our tutorial on how to publish a story from the Microsoft Lumia Storyteller application to the Lumia Storyteller website when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
If you have any questions about this application, or if you have any questions about this video, please leave them in the comment section below. You've been watching VisiHow.
