Preparation of mosquitoes killer at home?
Can you tell me any recipe that I could prepare at home to kill misquotes?
The recipes for Mosquito Repellent are listed in the main VisiHow article on this page. Keep in mind that you should spray these when there is no rain in the forecast. Once it does rain, the repellent will be less effective and you will need to reapply. Do not leave any standing water near your house and if you have a rain barrel, assure that it is tightly covered as stagnant water is where mosquitoes breed.
These repellents last for up to 6 hours so apply towards dusk for a night that will be mosquito free. A natural way to control mosquito populations long term is with plants. I have lemongrass, lavender, chamomile, oregano, basil and marigolds planted near our patio. Although it is not completely mosquito free, it does keep a majority of them out of the patio area compared to my neighbor's yard next door that is rampant with mosquitos due to low lying property that regularly puddles in rain. It does help to water them slightly to release the scent and oil before we sit out there for long periods in the evening. You can also soak cotton balls with essential oils that repel mosquito and leave them on a plate or jar near where you sit. Taking a mason jar and putting holes in the cap helps the scent emit yet looks better than just sitting on a plate.
