Pin TripAdvisor Pages to Home Screen of Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Thor, Rushell, Eng, Anonymous
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to pin the page of a hotel, restaurant, or attraction to the home screen of a Microsoft Lumia 535 when using the TripAdvisor application.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
Once the phone is activated, swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen.
On the home screen, find the TripAdvisor tile.
It has a green background, and in the middle is the TripAdvisor logo, which is an owl with hypnotic eyes. If the TripAdvisor tile has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.
Once TripAdvisor has been located, press down on it to enter the application.
Once it has loaded, choose something to pin to the home screen.
Swipe across if necessary to reach the "explore" section.
It will say "explore" in black text at the top left-hand corner of the screen.
Find and tap on the "Attractions" square.
The word "Attractions" is written in black at the bottom, and there is a white image of binoculars at the top right corner.
Type in or select a location to find attractions in that area, and then press the right-facing arrow at the bottom right corner of the pop-up keyboard.
On the "attractions" screen, press on the name of a place to open it and get more details.
The location's "details" page can be pinned to the home screen.
One reason for doing this is during travel, it is helpful to have a list of attractions, restaurants and hotels available to visit. Pinning them to the home screen provides easy access to them. Instead of searching for interesting places while visiting an unfamiliar city, having locations already pinned to the home screen allows looking at them quick and easy.
To do this, press the first icon at the bottom of the screen.
It is an image of a green push pin inside a green circle. This will pin the page for this attraction to the home screen.
A tile for the attraction now appears on the home screen with the green TripAdvisor border on the top and bottom of the tile.
Press down on the tile, and it will open that page in the TripAdvisor application.
On that page below the lower right corner of the image is the distance to that attraction.
Swipe across to get more information about the attraction, such as reviews and additional photos.
This concludes our tutorial on how to pin the page of a hotel, restaurant, or attraction to the home screen of a Microsoft Lumia 535 when using the TripAdvisor application.
It's important to note that pinning an attraction to the home screen is the same as pinning a hotel or a restaurant. The option to unpin the location from the home screen is actually shown at the bottom of the screen as the push pin in a circle, but with a line through it. Then the page can be unpinned manually from the home screen. Thank you very much for watching this video and for watching VisiHow. Goodbye.
