Edited by Freya, Robert, Eng
Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to open a page in Safari using the Google application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the home button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode.
As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Once at the home screen, find and tap on the Google icon which is blue with a recognizable lower case Google "G" in white.
This will open the application to the home screen where we can search by tapping on the white bar or the microphone icon. To learn how to search using Google on the iPhone 6, please refer to the article on how to do so.
Search by tapping on the white bar.
Type in or select a previous search.
Tap on a link in the search results.
This will bring us to that particular website. In this example, it's the Pink Floyd website.
Tap on the three vertical dots icon in the top-right hand corner.
This will open up a new window.
Tap on "Open in Safari" which is indicated by a compass symbol on the left side.
As we can see, it will take us to the same page but in the Safari browser on the iPhone.
If we like, we can press the home button.
Now go back to the Google application by tapping on the Google icon.
Tap on the arrow in the bottom-left corner of the screen to go to the previous screen.
Alternatively, we can tap on the Google icon in the center of the screen at the bottom to go back to the screen where we began.
Now you know how to open a link in Safari using the Google application on the iPhone 6.
If you have any questions comments or queries, please enter them in the section below. Thank you for using VisiHow, goodbye.
