    As you can see a new window is open, and it has several tabs, General, View and Search.
    Once we are in the General Tab, there are several options here, one of them is "click items as follows", if you are like me you have selected double click to open an item or if you want to change it you will only need a single click to select it, so point to select.

    If you choose this, you will be able to hover your mouse on the folder and then single click to open it.
    There are two additional options to this it is "underline icon titles consistent with my browser" or "only when I pointed them" the difference between the two is if you click the first one then all of the folders and files will be underlined, the second one they will be highlighted only when you have pointed at them. Click on OK.
