When I have the speaker phone on, people can only hear me if I have the noise reduction button turned on with my Galaxy Note3 phone?

Do I always have to turn on the noise reduction button when I'm on speakerphone? The article does not mention this issue. I have cleaned the microphone and pulled out the battery for 30 seconds just in case. I have tried: Cleaned the microphone and disconnected the battery for 30 seconds. People I am speaking to can only hear me (when I am using the speaker phone) if the the noise reduction is on. Appears microphone only works when noise reduction button is turned on. I think it was caused by: Not sure. Only realized the problem when I tried to use the hands free speaker phone
