Why can't I send my message using a Korean phone Samsung Note 1?

I reset my phone (Korean phone), and I can't send any messages to my friend using my Samsung Note 1. Well, before, I could send messages, but I don't remember how. I used it before. Are there any settings that I must go to send my messages?

First of all, reboot your smartphone. Check if you have positive balance to send SMS messages. Then, check if sending SMS as a service is enabled for your carrier. Then, see if you do not have any barred incoming or outgoing SMS messages by the same carrier (you may have to check the Web site for that). Then, check the coverage and move to an open space or force-set 2G, 3G, or 4G (in "Apps" > "Settings" > the "Connections" tab > "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Network mode") to send messages if network coverage is poor.

Your carrier may also require you to receive a configuration file that sets up WAP, SMS, MMS, and GPRS. In order to do that, either visit the Web site of the carrier to find out the APN and other settings that you can enter into your smartphone or send a special USSD code (call your carrier to find the number) to receive the configuration file. The other method is taking out the SIM card, replacing it with another carrier's SIM card, and inserting the original SIM card back to receive proper settings.
