That instruction set is referring to the navigation method while in the recovery mode menu of most Android phone and tablets. In the menu, the touch screen does not function. You use the volume up and down keys to select/highlight the menu items and then use the power button to confirm.

Sir, I can't reset my phone, I failed entering the lock code lots of times and now its asking for my email, I try to reset it using POWER+VOLUME UP+Android menu, but my volume down button is not working, I can't navigate, please help

By Joules, when it asks for your email (yes Gmail), it's a great chance if you have one. If you have an Gmail account registered to your device, follow these steps.


1. Tap on the Forgot Password? link.



2. Tap on I Don't Know My Google Play ID.



3. Sign into Google.




4. Create a new pattern password.



Done!
