My tab 2 doesn't display on the TV using the Samsung HDTV adapter?

After I plug everything in to my Samsung tab 2 10.1, HDMI cable-HDTV adapter-power supply, I set the TV to the correct HDMI source, but when I turn my tab on I can't get anything to show on the screen, it simply says no input. thanks

Are you using an official, genuine Samsung MHL HDMI adapter? If you are, make sure that you also have the charger portion of the adapter plugged in. The adapter will not work without the power source.
