My Galaxy 6 has blocked fingerprint opening due to having turned off my phone, but won't accept my password?

It will only let me access "Emergency Call". While this is an emergency to me, I can't even access Contacts to call AT&T where I bought the phone.. I have tried: The only thing it will let me do is enter my password, which I know is correct.. I think it was caused by: No idea
