When I press the power button and the volume up and down buttons, I do not ever see any Factory Reset screen. What am I doing wrong?

If you are not able to reset your iRULU tablet with button presses, it is probably because you are using the wrong key combinations, or not releasing the buttons in the proper sequence. Recovery Mode options vary for each Android device, and can be different even on devices from the same manufacturer. Depending on your model of iRULU tablet, you may need to try other combinations, which include:

I have a new Windows iRULU walknbook mini. Frozen on start screen?

Of course one of the first things was Windows updated. It is now stuck on the screen that just has a generic picture and the time and date. I can't figure out any reset options. I've restarted it several times, and tried the volume buttons+power like for an Android, but no dice.

I cannot reset iRULU tablet. System is on a blank screen with a short menu of boot up options?

I opened my tablet to find a blank, black screen with a small menu that starts with "Select Boot Mode" Volume UP to select, Volume Down is OK. Below that are 3 choices- Recovery Mode, Fastboot Mode and Normal Mode. To the left of Fastboot Mode there is an arrow already pointing to that choice and then below those 3 choices it says "Fastboot mode". Nothing more and nothing I try regarding the power or volume buttons seems to do anything.

My iRULU tablet is frozen & won't get past recovery mode, how do I factory reset it?

I have entered the "recovery mode" & it shows the little Android robot and "No command". there is not an option for "factory reset". I have tried: Holding the power & volume up button and pressing "recovery mode". Reset button. Trying "fastboot mode". I think it was caused by: No idea my iRULU expro x1 starts up and just stays on the logo "iRULU" screen forever.

How do I hard reset my old iRULU expro x1?

I have an older model iRULU expro x1 that a friend had left at my house a couple years ago and whom I've since lost contact with. It's still password, or rather swipe pattern locked so I can't get into it. I am trying to hard reset it so I can perhaps give it to my brother or sell it or something, but it's not responding to any of the button combinations I've read should send it to a reboot kind of hard drive page. What am I doing wrong?. I have tried: Pressing and holding at the same time power+volume up, power+power down, power+power up and down together (all from a powered off state) but all it does every time is simply turn back on.. I think it was caused by: It's an old, simple machine and doesn't work as other more normal Android tablets should and do and there's next to no make and model specific information on the internet for this device

Reset a bought tablet from stranger?

The device boots normally but asks for email that the tablet was registered to. I bought it from someone. Don't have the email or password. I have tried: the factory reset did not work. I think it was caused by: the person reset it before selling.

Was this helpful? Yes | No | I need help

Unfortunately, this means that the stranger sold you a nonfunctioning device. You do not have the credentials of the original owner nor the proof of purchase if it was not sold at a shop. You are only left with two options: finding the owner or finding a security hole in the verification process for the exact model and Android version, which can be quite hard or impossible.
