You lost these files. Once the SD card was unmounted and formatted and then remounted it was like a hard reset on the device. Perhaps Outlook stores the files in a cloud and it would be worth contacting Microsoft about. Any apps promising to recover deleted files will only show you blank space for what was encrypted. Your only hope is a possible cloud storage through Outlook.

In the Samsung J5 Settings, look under Security for Encrypt External SDCard. Use an app like ES Files or APP2SD to move your files that you want encrypted to the SDcard and then encrypt the card. You will need to set up a 6 digit password. Write this down and keep it somewhere that you can access. Also, be aware that SD cards are not permanent and can be damaged or corrupted. If you remove the SDcard for any reason, you will need to transfer and backup the files first. This is because removing the card means that you will have to format it again when you insert it back into the phone. This will delete those files which is what happened to another poster on this page. Gone forever with no hope of recovery.
