Mute with Motion Gestures on a Samsung Note 10.1

You're watching VisiHow. In the video tutorial, we are going to review "Palm motion" and how to mute and pause sound on the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
To access "Palm motion", we will need to go to Settings via the notification panel.
We can swipe the screen down from the top of the home screen in order to access the notification panel. In the top right-hand corner, we will find a gear-shaped icon. The icon stands for Settings.
We tap the Settings icon once.
We tap the "Control" menu button.
It is the third option. In the left-hand panel under "Controls", we will find "Voice and input methods" and "Motion control". We will need to turn on "Palm motion" in order to pause and mute our sounds with our hand.
We tap the "Palm motion" toggle.
This will turn on the "Palm motion" option.
We tap the "Mute/pause" toggle.
This will turn on "Mute/pause".
We tap "Mute/pause" to try the "Palm motion" control.
The screen will read: "Mute/pause media by covering the screen with your hand."
We tap "Try it" for an example demonstration.
We must cover the screen with our hand to pause and mute the sound.
