Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to move around the map in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up.
Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.
We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen.
There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.
Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap on the Maps application.
It has a map icon with a red pin and says "Maps" underneath. This will open the Maps application. We want to demonstrate how to move around the map.
To do that, all we need is one finger, press down on the screen and swipe around.
The map will move as we move the finger allowing us to move around the map. We're just going to swipe around.
If we need to go back to our current location, we can tap on the white circle with a target.
It has taken us all the way back to our current location, marked by the blue circle.
This concludes the tutorial on how to move around the map in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.
