    Make sure that the Ball Head is tightened by turning the lock into the lock position.
    This means that it should be firm.

    Once you have tightened the Ball Head, screw it onto the slider by turning the base of the Ball Head clockwise.
    It's important to make sure that the Ball Head is screwed tightly. If you don't do that, it could be more difficult to control it.

    When this has been done, the Quick Release Plate will be released.
    You can install the Quick Release Plate onto your Canon camera by screwing the plate into the thread at the bottom. The threads on the plate show that there are two ways to mount it, depending on which way you want the camera lens to face.

    To mount the camera on top of the Ball Head in this position, slide it on so that the long side is facing the latch.
    You will notice that there is a long side, as well as a short side on the Quick Release Plate. Make sure that the long side is toward the latch and push down until the Quick Release Plate snaps into place.
