Monitor stays black after standby and boot, no cursor?

Monitor gives green light for operation and responds to mouse click to wake up but no display anywhere. Even on boot up there are no displays.. I have tried: Checking internet for similar issues, but as there is no display I cannot access BIOS .. I think it was caused by: If I knew this I could probably solve the issue myself?
